The Gold Coast Arts Centre is home to one of Australia’s most prominent public art galleries. Situated in the heart of the Gold Coast’s social hub, Surfers Paradise, it is at the forefront of fresh art exhibitions and dynamic tours. Open 7 days a week, upcoming events an endless reel of entertainment; locally based artists, prize winning exhibitions as well as established and upcoming artists are featured in art exhibitions.
Founded in 1986 the Arts Centre houses the renowned City Collection of contemporary and historical artworks documenting the character of the Gold Coast as well as the development of Australian art practice.
The Gallery presents a diverse and dynamic program of events and exhibitions that are generated by the Gallery or displayed as part of a touring schedule.
The Gallery is also home to one of Australia’s longest running art prizes, now titled the Stan & Maureen Duke Gold Coast Art Prize. Since 1968, the annual prize has provided an exciting survey of contemporary Australian Art.
